The publishing date of today's "The Miracle of Growth" fits conveniently since now it is the time for harvest. In Finnish it is called "kekri". Kekri starts from Michaelmas and lasts until All Saints' Day. In the old days on the Kekri season there was a one week holiday for farm workers and maids who got to celebrate and to visit their homes. They also had an opportunity to either stay on the current farm or leave and find a new one.
On the mountains grew the berries, Golden flowers in the meadows, And the herbs of many colors, Many kinds of vegetation. (Kalevala, Poem II)
