Galadriel pattern in English

Galadriel, the charmingly beautiful elf and the royal Elf of Noldor, was the source of inspiration for me when started to design this square. The Galadriel square will be the first one in the “Elves” series — a series of my designs inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy novels.

Galadriel is a beautiful crochet blanket with rich colors, lovely and cozy flower squares, zigzag edge and romantic tassels as an eye-catcher. You can use Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 120 as in the sample blanket or choose your own colors. Click here to find more info of the blanket.

The instructions are easy to follow and quite many have done the blanket even with modest experience on crocheting, thanks both to the good quality photo tutorial of the Galadriel square and support that is available on Arteeni Facebook group. The Galadriel instructions are available both in English and in Finnish!

GALADEIEL INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDES

- General blanket and material info

- Galadriel –square photo-tutorial

- Half square triangle instruction

- Joining – written pattern with graphs

- Border – written pattern with graphs

In addition to the Galadriel square photo-tutorial there is also short ”notes sheet” that is easier to print and follow when repeating the Galadriel square after the first time. Read more of Galadriel blanket, yarns and the pattern info on my website or see so many lovely Galadriel versions with different color schemes on Instagram! Which one of them is your favorite or shall you choose your own set of colors? Or would you love it in monochrome? Unbelievable but it works so nicely in one color, too!! Perhaps you'd love to do both!?!

I couldn't have done this all alone!! All the thanks for Sari Silventoinen for translating the pattern for me! And great thanks for Mia Weckman for helping with the proofreading! And special thanks for Milla Elo, Jutta Karvonen, Arni Oksanen, Taina Ilvonen and Pia-Mari Winqvist for helping me to test the pattern and also great thanks to Pia-Mari and Taina for helping me to get the sample blanket finished on time... You all are my heroes!!l'm so thankful, happy and excited that I want to make a give-away - read more on Facebook.

The flower in the middle of Galadriel square is very handy and pretty attachment for any purpose, see an example photo where I have attached it into a knitted hat. Where else you could use it? Maybe decorate your scarves or bags... or on the edge of your jacket or as a bracelet on your shirt... possibilities are endless! Buy it now on Ravelry!
